How it works:

Everything we do starts with a relationship. We are excited to get to know you and hear about the gifts God has given you. Here’s how it works for ministries or foundations:

For ministries – We examine potential ministry clients against these criteria:

Is your organization Christ-focused?
Are fruits demonstrated both in the lives of the leaders and in the organization?
Have your board of directors and top leadership bought into a pending change?
Are you working cross-culturally?
Have you identified a possible funding source?
Have you identified a project manager at the ministry to manage the project?

For foundations – We look for foundation partners who see the needs ministries have for clear and compelling communications. We work with a handful of select foundations including MasterWorks Foundation, Maclellan Foundation and WinShape Foundation. We have found that foundation executives tend to understand the ‘multiplier effect’ clear communications can have on their past and future investments in ministries. Delighted to share more.

Funding model:

As a 501c3 tax-exempt organization, Kumveka has an unusual funding model. While we work with some ministry clients on a ‘fee-for-services’ basis, the majority of our projects are sponsored or underwritten by a major donor or foundation. Select major expense categories have been generously donated, including the majority of salary of the Executive Director and our office space. All of this lowers the costs to the ministries or allows us to provide additional services under one grant.

We are excited to work with ministries and possible funding partners to build a plan together. While the majority of costs are often covered by a third-party source, we do ask the ministry to be responsible for all Kumveka team members’ travel expenses (which vary by project). A note on timing:

We are thrilled and overwhelmed with the response we have received regarding Kumveka’s offering. We are currently booked through Spring 2011, but always looking for new partners in ministries and foundations.
